What is Chattering Finger?

Chattering Finger is a quirky, bite-sized maze game built for the Pico-8 platform during the PiCoSteveMo 2 game jam. Taking inspiration from Stephen King's eerie short stories Chattery Teeth and The Moving Finger, the game tries to make this retro aesthetic into a kind of horror-absurdity occasion. Your mission? Go through the maze, putting out some teeth-chattering terror now and then-that'll be your end goal: how far can you make it before things become too much?

Controls:

Move: Use arrow keys to move your character around the maze.
Deploy Teeth: Hit Z to unleash your chattering teeth-again, with whatever side effects come down on you!
Objective: Avoid hazards, solve the maze, and see how many levels you can take before the pressure melts you down.

Tips and Tricks

Strategic Use: Don’t spam teeth—use them to block threats or clear your path.
Double-Check Your Route: Maze layouts may sometimes be tricky. Take a second to look around.
Go With The Flow: Sometimes teeth take a mind of their own. Roll with it and have fun!
