What is Wake Up!?

Wake Up! is a spine-chilling indie horror from the house of Ludzik that develops into a deeply unsettling and psychological nightmare. A distorted dream world is set up to challenge the players as they make their way through dark and foreboding environs littered with disturbing phenomena and cryptic clues. What is the aim? To wake from that terrifying nightmare. From surreal visuals to eerie soundscapes, Wake Up! conjures an immersive yet chilling ambience, leaving players in suspense.

How to Play

A Wake Up! player interacts and manipulates objects within his/her environment so as to analyze and eventually break free from the dream. Having found himself trapped in a dimly lit room, the player must undergo a stark observation of the environment, including locked doors, strange clocks, and animating spirits with little information. Turning off the bloodied water tap, hiding under a couch, or finding a key behind a painting are some of the vital actions needed to liberate you. Each click on something can open up new locations or result in terrifying metamorphosis of the current environment. You are forced to sometimes backtrack, as the place reverts and changes on its own, leaving one disoriented at different times. One click might lead to your escape...or drag you further into the nightmare.

Tips & Tricks

Observe Carefully: Look for clues or odd details hidden in the environment.
Act Smart: Not every interaction will lead to progress; some are dangerous.
Track Changes: If the scenery changes after an action, note the difference and attempt to avoid these actions
Stay Calm: It can get terrifyingly overwhelming, but a cool head will help in critical thinking and spotting useful alternatives.

Wake Up! is an independent distinction in the horror genre, developed by Ludzik and released on Itch.io. It is unique in its approach to the psychological horror basis-shifting away from jump scares and more into surreal storytelling and building atmospheric tension.
