What Is Scary Scavenger Hunt 2?

Prepare to get into good spooky-and-good double fun with Garfield in Scary Scavenger Hunt 2. This Halloween treat is set inside a haunted mansion-reputed that the orange feline got trapped. Even though all his life Garfield has never been able to stand ghosts, zombies, or monsters, some innocent growling in his tummy for donuts and muffins is driving him forward through the darkness. Your mission? Save him through the terrifying base and out of the mansion-with a heart strongly beating from fright!

Gameplay

The adventure begins in the darkest part of the house-the basement! Obviously, in pitch darkness, the foremost task for you is to find light. Once you do, use the arrows at the bottom right corner for the four directions to move Garfield through the mansion. Your way out leads from the bottom up through the rooms, and once outside, back to where you began with the first game.

Watch out for the Scare-O-Meter at the bottom of the screen! This is basically Garfield's fear bar, raising with fear being induced when he is greeted by ghosts, zombies, and monsters alike. Fill it to the brim, and a full-on heart attack will befell poor Garfield hence you will lose. So, the best alternative for you is to run away from or hide away from these terrors who cause the meter to go up.

Tips & Tricks

Light It Up: The basement is dark, so look to find a light source as fast as possible.
Avoid Fright: Check the Scare-O-Meter, stay away from scary creatures, and just run away or hide when you are about to get scared!
Collect Items: Grab keys to open doors and cages, along with other items such as matches, a bone, a bottle, a box, the day's paper, and a calculator. These will aid your progression through the game.
Use Hints: Pay attention to the box above your inventory to pick up hints about what Garfield feels, hears, or sees. For example, if he can't see anything, then you actually do need to find a light!

History

Scary Scavenger Hunt 2 grows out of the original title's success by retrofitting Garfield for a Halloween spook that weighs the fear of the supernatural against the urge for treating. Whereas the first one introduced players to Garfield's scavenger hunt, this sequel drags you further into the haunted mansion with new challenges and the chance to help the lazy cat conquer his fears so that he can get his paws on donuts and muffins.
