What Is Kuzbass Horror?

Fresh and chilling in spirit, Kuzbass Horror is a first-person survival-horror experience set in the doomed village that is haunted by an evil witch. With deep plotlines and an atmosphere thicker than night fog and pure tension, it draws you to explore the dark secrets while dodging unnatural threats. Gameplay

You want to explore the village, solve riddles, and survive the witch's attacks. There are scarce resources, so use your items carefully-there's times when hiding is better than fighting.

Tips & Tricks

Stay Quiet: Crouching dampens sound, so it becomes more difficult for the witch to detect you.
Manage Inventory: It is quite limited and should include only those items that you are absolutely sure you will need: keys, tools, health items, etc.
Read Clues: Notes and environmental clues will often direct you to a puzzle or hidden pathway.
Save Resources: Use healing items only when necessary; some areas are more dangerous than others.
Calm Down: Anxiety may cause suspicious decisions. If the witch is near, hide, and wait for her to go away.

History

Kuzbass Horror, though it forgoes the real history, uses a pretty huge load of Slavic folklore mixed with traditional survival-horror motifs. Haunted village settings derive from stories of cursed locales and vengeful spirits, thus conjuring an idiot-proofly terrifying ambience. The ambience of the game pays tribute to various cult horror classics, while simultaneously carving its own raison d’être on the grounds of psychological terror.
