What is Vermin God – Prologue?

Vermin God – Prologue is a horror visual novel of an eerie nature with inspirations drawn from SCP-027. It combines elements of psychological terror and body horror in the most unsettling ways. The protagonist of the story is Sye Mejia, an 18-year-old girl who is cursed with the "Vermin God Disease," or so to say-a grotesque disease that makes vermin like rats, roaches, and other insects swarm around her and infest her body. A player's choices determine whether she is saved from the nightmare or eventually gets engulfed as a victim of creeping terror.

How to Play

Use the mouse to click on dialogue and other key choices to follow the story.
Every single decision will either bring Sye closer to salvation or to utter despair.
Pay heed to the particular detail in the text which could be hints toward the "correct" way (if ever there is one).

History

Though Vermin God – Prologue is a separate experience, a good deal of influence stems from the horrid SCP-027 ("The Vermin God") of the SCP Foundation mythos. The game breathes life into the archaic concept with the personal and narrative drive of a visual novel combined with flesh-and-blood body horror.
