What Is Sonic.EXE Sadness?

Sonic.EXE Sadness is a more exciting, darker take on this cherished platform-adventure game with the Sega mascot Sonic the Hedgehog, now a depressed and vengeful villain. Here, Sonic is the protagonist, tasked with wandering through dark zones filled with blood, eerie monsters, and deadly traps. It is almost traumatically different as it will challenge you to go through numerous threatening obstacles, slay menacing enemies, and collect rings to survive.

How to Play

Control Sonic via the following keys:

ARROWS for movement
Z for A
X for B
C for C
A for X
S for Y
D for Z

The goal is to maneuver through each zone by running, dashing, jumping, and rolling while avoiding enemies, pits, and obstacles. Collect as many rings as possible since they are your score and provide some protection from damage. Each level has a limited time to complete with the shorter completion earning you something of a time bonus. Creepy Hill Zone 1 is the beginning of these adventures, and they only get harder with progressively harder enemies and traps.

Use all the provided mechanics wisely: platforms, springboards, elevators... The classic gameplay now carries a darker atmosphere that will challenge your skills and courage.
