Originally made in two days for Spoopy Jam 6, this experimental piece takes away all comforts associated with progress-nothing is ever saved-so the atmosphere remains disturbing. The visual aspect is an unnatural blend of collage heavily filtered to create an eerie ambiance, with the whole ambience melding into the mystery, giving the sense that the investigator is being pulled into the victim.

How to Play

Mouse: Click buttons to advance in the investigation.
Spacebar: More so for when clicking gets tiresome-if unbearable.
F4: Full-screen mode toggle (Windows Only).

No saves; no second chances-it's an eternity of dread and discovery.

Tips & Tricks

Lean into the Atmosphere: The lack of persistence in the game is a deliberate choice-go with it.

m an idle nightmare was made quickly for Spoopy Jam 6 and was later submitted into Lyko Horror Game Jam and The Halloween Game Jam 2024. The lo-fi, distorted look, coupled with a barebones-powerful design-aesthetic that lends credence to its psychological horror-makes it one of the noteworthy entries in experimental indie jams.
