What is Scary Maze?

Scary Maze constitutes a classic and gruesome Flash game that first hit the market in 2003 but truly went viral thanks to a YouTube prank in 2006. This seemingly simple and truly horrifying game dares the player to navigate complex mazes with only one easy-to-follow instruction: do not touch the walls. But don't let that fool you—just when you think you're safe, a sudden jump scare awaits your nerves and reflexes at the end.

How to Play

Navigate through the maze: The game starts by showing a little maze in the middle of a blank screen. The cursor is your guide, and you have to lead it through without it touching the walls.
Focus on not touching walls: Concentrate on following the path—walls might be invisible but are deadly when touched.
The difficulty increases: With every path you finish, expect a tighter squeeze for the next one, so sharpen your focus and prepare yourself to be patient.
Jump Scare Might Get You: From around the third level, get ready for your jinx. Whilst near the finish, an unexpected hard shock hits-a terrifying face accompanied by an awful noise-just there to make you jittery and test your reaction.'

Tips & Tricks

Stay calm: Panic and doing too much will get you nowhere. Take a deep breath and go slowly.
Memorize the layout: Study the maze well before starting so you will always know the way.

History

Scary Maze originated as a very simple Flash game in 2003 but gained huge popularity in 2006 when a prank video on YouTube showed it being used as a giant boom fear challenge.
