What Is Schoolboy Escape: Stealth Runaway?

Schoolboy Escape is truly an oddity in contemporary gaming, presenting a graceful ballet of stealth and puzzle-solving set amidst a gaunt haunted world. And there you are in the role of an impish lad (or lass) attempting dangerous escapades, starting with making a clandestine exit from his terrifying parents' house! Gleaning through the dark under the stealth mechanics with an oddity in item interaction and occasional use of distractions to timely usage, it will require sharp synchrony to not get caught. The game is arrayed in three adrenaline-pumping acts, each representing a new set of challenges and villains to outwit.

Controls

Movement: Use WASD to move and use the mouse to look around.
Interacting: Left click on items to pick them up or interact with them.
Stealth: Press C to crouch and hide.
Hints: Press I to receive hints in case you get stuck.

Of course, for Android/iOS users, movement comes with an on-screen joystick.

Your goal? Do whatever it takes to escape without ever getting caught! Use objects in the environment (such as keys or books) to distract, create a pathway, or barricade your exit. Parents' movements can be overheard through hints at the bottom of the screen.

Tips & Tricks

Listen Closely: When dialogue pops up, it means your parents/teachers are close—hide immediately!
Scout Your Route: Look around areas you intend to move into; some items (just spare keys) can be hidden inside a drawer or under furniture.
Pretend to Be Studying: Set a math book down on your desk during room checks.
Inventory Management: Slots are limited, so bring along only what you require: keys and tools.
Crouch: Use C to crouch in areas where there is a lot of risk being exposed or heard!

Story & Acts

The game tells the story across three increasing scenarios:

Act 1: Home – Escape grounded punishment by sneaking past your parents.
Act 2: School – Evade teachers after skipping class.
Act 3: Village – Survive a kidnapping by a suspicious fisherman.

Each act intensifies the nervousness with newer mechanics and smarter enemies!
