What Is Throw Minds?

Throw Minds is fabulous stealth-game fun developed at the E6 Medieverksted Game Jam Ung 2024. Playing as a clever character, your job is to sneak through a mysterious building, avoiding alien captors. Your goal? To make it through the bottom-left corner exit without getting caught-with "minds" thrown about, wherever you see fit-to draw away the pursuers.

Controls

Movement: Use WASD or Arrow Keys for movement.
Hide & Climb: Press DOWN to crouch and hide.
Stairs: Press DOWN to go down stairs, and HOLD UP while moving towards the stairs to go up.
Collecting Minds: Minds get picked up when walked over.
Distract AI: Hold SHIFT to throw minds to a place that comes between you and the aliens.
Objective: Don't get spotted and get out through the bottom left exit!

Tips & Tricks

Throw When They Do Not Look: Double your distraction efficiency by throwing minds away from the direction the aliens are looking at.
Use Cover Often: Keep hiding—in fact, aliens cannot catch what they cannot see.
Route Planning: Identify which routes are likely to be less risky. Walk safely!

A short, intense game-development event gave birth to Throw Minds. The team consisted of:

This was all about coming up with quick, creative solutions fueled by passion for stealth gaming.
