What is FNAF: Escape from the Basement?

FNAF: Escape from the Basement is an intense action and stealth-horror game in which you awake all harrowed, trapped in a gloomy, peculiar basement filled with strange gadgets. Your mission is to find and activate 10 hidden valves to open the exit and escape before Freddy, an animatronic ever-listening and sound-sensitive entity, finds you. A combination of frantic tension, puzzle-solving, and hide-and-seek, it will appeal to anyone who likes jump scares and a high-stakes game of hide-and-go!

How to Play

Move: Utilize WASD or the arrow keys to quietly move about in the basement.
Interact: When you see valves, interact with them by pressing E or left-clicking.
Hide: Hold the crouch button (Ctrl by default) to minimize noise-Freddy tracks sound!
Listen: Use sound cues (step sounds, heavy breathing) to keep track of Freddy.

Tips and Tricks

Be slow: Quick movements generate noise. Walk instead of running, and crouch as often as possible.
Valve Priority: Some valves are risky to get. Plan out a route where you don't have to come back.
Distraction: Make use of the environment to distract Freddy (e.g., flickering lights).
Patience is your friend: Freeze until he's gone if Freddy is right behind you.

History

While not an official Five Nights at Freddy’s title, Escape from the Basement is still based on that horrid atmosphere the series became famous for. FNAF fan games are always adding to the lore of the FNAF world, creating situations where they put the player in front of an animatronic—with none of those pesky security cameras to hide behind this time.
