An atmospheric top-down adventure where you are to escape from somewhere unknown, desperately holding onto your only source of light. Made as a student project for RMIT VEGA 2024, it combines exploration and survival into a short yet engaging experience.

Gameplay

Use simple controls to traverse creepy environments.
Guard your source of light; when it's gone, darkness shall engulf you!
Use your wits to solve subtle puzzles to help along the way.
Stay alert; it doesn't want you to leave.

Tips and Tricks

Use the light sparingly; try to stay out of the dark when you can.
Keep your eyes open; whatever you need is probably right in front of you.
Control every step; moving too fast could be your doom.

Background

Created for RMIT’s latest VEGA program in 2024, the game provides insight into how students think about mood and tension in games. It is a small project but provides a memorable and strongly unnerving escape-game challenge.
